Hey Everybody! First post in a long time for Tim here. Alanna and I went to Mackinac Island for a three day weekend, a couple of weeks ago. I went to Douglas J in Ann Arbor and got a haircut and highlights. Douglas J is an Aveda institute so all of the services are done by students. It's a lot cheaper than going to a full-blown salon! Yeah, I thought I'd throw another Milo pic in there too! He's so darn cute!

Tim and I took Milo to the dog park on Saturday and he had a blast! There were only a few other dogs there but he got some great socialization and excercise. Tim taught Milo how to go up the ramp and by the end of the day he was a pro and would do it on his own. He also mastered the tunnel. He's such a good puppy! I wasn't going to post about this but I figured since I had started telling everyone about our journey to parenthood on here I might as well update everyone. I had an HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) test on August 9 and the results were not good. They found my right fallopian tube and ovary completely blocked and my left side has a blockage somewhere near my ovary. Needless to say, we were devastated

So, it's been awhile since we've last posted. I have started my new job with St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Brighton at their outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinic. I work 11:30-8pm M-Th and 8:30-5 on Fri. I got my first paycheck this past Thurs and it was nice because it was a lot higher than a School Bell paycheck! I can get used to this! Today I planted a butterfly garden! I'm so impressed with myself because I am not much of a gardener. I cleaned up a spot next to the house and sidewalk, put some Miracle-gro gardening soil down and sprinkled a seed bag that I bought in the dollar bins at Target. Yay! Now, I just have to water and watch it grow :)

Well, try 3 on Clomid didn't work so we are currently on try 4. We should know within a week whether this try worked or not. We are trying not to get too depressed. I've been feeling very down about it lately because we have been trying to conceive for 15 months now with no results. If this try doesn't work we have two more months on Clomid and then we'll have to go another route. A parent

Well, month 2 of the Clomid didn't work so we tried again and this time it looks great as far as eggs are concerned!! So, we are doing all we can now to try to make this be the egg! Tim went with me to this last appointment (because he's on vacation) and I told him he must be the good luck charm. It was so thrilling to see the huge egg I had on the ultrasound! This week I was named School Bell's first Employee of the Month! Our director decided to start an employee of the month and I was voted the first one! I was so flattered....It's nice to be recognized for all the hard work that you do. Tim and I are on month 2 of the Clomid and I have an ultrasound again this Friday to see if I will release any eggs. Keep your fingers crossed!

Today was my Day 12 ultrasound. When you take Clomid you have to have an ultrasound around Day 12 so that they can see if your ovaries are going to produce an egg to be fertilized. Well, for me that is not going to happen this month. The doc said she didn't see any "dominant follicles". Meaning, there wasn't a dominant egg ready to be released.
